A Cybernetic Ecology

A Cybernetic Ecology is a new Arts Council England supported exhibition of interactive digital artworks by Leicester digital artist Sean Clark. As part of the exhibition a collection of light, sound and screen-based artworks respond to the viewer and to each other to create a unique interactive environment. Some of his work has been shown nationally and internationally before, but this is the first time that it has been exhibited in it's entirety.
In addition to his solo work there will be collaborative pieces with Esther Rolinson and Ernest Edmonds and a new work from Genetic Moo. All the artworks will communicate with each other to further enhance the exhibition space.
Exhibition Opening - Tuesday 6th December 7pm-9pm
The exhibition opening will be from 7pm until 9pm on Tuesday 6th December 2016 at the LCB Depot Lightbox and Rutland Street in Leicester. On Friday 9th December 2016 from 7pm until 11pm there will be a free performance event "Interanerki", presented in collaboration with Leicester arts collective Anerki. On Saturday 17th December 2016 from 1pm until 5pm there will be "Meet The Machines" - a free drop-in workshop featuring robots and other interactive technologies created by Sean Clark during the development of the exhibition. A selection of connected artworks will also be on show at Phoenix Cinema and Arts Centre Phoenix Cinema and Art Centre in Leicester.
Interanerki - Friday 9th December 7pm-11pm
Inter-Anerki is a collaborative DIgital arts and Performance arts night between Anerki and Interact. It will be celebrating the "A Cybernetic Ecology (Exhibition Opening)" exhibition created by Sean Clark of Interact Digital Arts.
Anerki brings quality underground artistic expression: Music, Live Art, Spoken Word, Rap, Dance, Comedy, Film & Free Speech.
Entertaining, educational and conscious. Always free of charge. Based in Leicester, UK.
It aims to break down age and cultural barriers within the arts scene and society and to bring about inspirational change in the world through artistic expression.

Meet The Machines - Saturday 17th December 12pm-5pm
Come and meet the machines, robots and other digital technologies created during the development of Sean Clark's "A Cybernetic Ecology" exhibition. There will also be a chance to look at the exhibition and chat to the artist. Light refreshments will be provided. Children welcome.
